Memphis May Fire "Vices" Video

Memphis May Fire has released a music video for their song "Vices" off their 3rd album Challenger.

I have been waiting forever for them to come out with a video from this album! It took forever considering the album came out last year.

I really like the video, the song musically and lyrically, and frontman, Matty Mullins.

All these guys do is tour, they are finishing up a tour with Pierce the Veil and letlive. and then doing a few shows in Europe. Then they will be playing Vans Warped Tour all summer!

Fall Out Boy Release "The Phoenix"

Fall Out Boy has released their 2nd song off their upcoming album Save Rock and Roll called "The Phoenix".

The video is a prequel to My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark (Light Em Up), it is how they got put into that black van.

I do not like the video and I'm not in love with the track. It will probably grow on me like the other one but I hate that Patrick Stump rhythms "remix" with "phoenix".

FOB now has a $7.99 digital pre-order via iTunes for US, Canada, and Mexico. With this pre-order you immediately get the new song! So there is a bonus.

Frightened Rabbit Backyard Skulls EP

Scottish lads, Frightened Rabbit are going to be releasing MORE music at the end of the month.

They recently released their latest album Pedestrian Verse a few months ago and now they are coming up with an EP which spins off their song "Backyard Skulls".

For more details on explaining the new EP check out Clash Music! They're British so be nice.

The EP will contain alternate versions of "The Woodpile" and "Holy", a live version of "Acts of Man", and if you pre-order it you can get the track "Norland Wind".

This will come out on March 31st (which is the same day as my hometown best friend's 21st birthday!).

If you're in the States you can check them out on tour (check here for tickets and dates).

Sigur Rós New Song and Album

The incredibly popular Icelandic band, Sigur Rós has announced that their new album will be coming out worldwide on June 7th.

The title of the album is Kveikur which according to Google Translate it means "priming" in English.

To satiate fans until the summer, they released a 7 minute video for their single "Brennistein" which means sulfur.  This explains all of the yellow color in the clip!

Pre-orders are available now in CD, LP, and digital (with three different formats).  By clicking on that link you can also check out the track list and album artwork.

The song that they released today is titled "Not a Stranger" and you can also purchase their 7" Forty Five which has an second track "Scavenger".

Fallstar Lyric Video

Fallstar has released one of their tracks off of their upcoming album Back Draft via Facedown Records.

The lyric video is for the song "El Rey" which translates to "the king" in Spanish.

I first listened to these Portland natives when their EP Your Eyes Don't Lie in 2007 on Come & Live!. (Seriously check out C&L!, they have some free downloads of high quality bands.)

If you are digging their heavy sound you can pre-order their album or wait until April 16th. But even if you kind of are into their sound, their pre-order bundles are really cheap so it's totally worth it.

The Color Morale Stream New Album

Lately it's been a really popular thing to stream your album before it releases. Bring Me the Horizon, As I Lay Dying, and now The Color Morale!

TCM's third album Know Hope is currently up on Rise Record's YouTube page.

I just listened through and I will say that it is quite good.  A few tracks really stuck out (though I can't remember which), from one listen I would give it a 6.5/10.

Maybe I'm grading too harshly but I honestly did enjoy listening to this record.

Their album will be released on March 26th (along with CartelI Am Empire, and David Archuleta LOL).

Pre-orders are still available!!

I Am Empire New Album Preview

I Am Empire is allowing fans to get a sneak peak of each track from their upcoming album Anchors. This will officially be released on March 26th.

Each song is a 30 second click to get the gist of each track. They sound pretty good to me!

The band has also released two videos, one for "Remedy" and another for "Daylight".

You can pre-order on iTunes.

Gerrard Way and Dark Horse Comics Collab

My Chemical Romance's 2010 album Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys is going to be a comic book through Dark Horse.  The first issue will be out on June 6th.

According to a post by Dark Horse regarding the series, the plot is:

Welcome to Battery City, where the disease is the cure!
In My Chemical Romance’s critically acclaimed album Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys, the Killjoys fought against the tyrannical megacorporation Better Living Industries. It cost them their lives, save for one—the mysterious Girl. Today, the followers of the original Killjoys languish in the desert while BLI systematically strips citizens of their individuality. As the fight for freedom fades, it’s left to the Girl to take up the mantle and bring down the fearsome BLI or else join the mindless ranks of Bat City!
Way says that the idea for the comic sparked the album and now the comic is going to be the next part where the album left off.

This is a really cool idea and I am excited to see how this project turns out! And it gives me a good reason to go to my local comic book store.

Paramore's Lyric Video "Still Into You"

The rock trio, Paramore have released their 2nd song from their anticipated self-titled album.

The track is titled "Still Into You" and it's quite good! Also there are shadow puppets which is always cool!

Spin just did an interview with frontwoman, Hayley Williams which discusses their album, the band, and her thoughts on veganism.

Paramore will be out on April 9th, pre-order your copy today!! Vinyl, CDs, digitals, and MORE!

Cartel Exists?

Until today I was unaware that Cartel was still together.  You learn something new everyday.

This pop-rock band has apparently come out with multiple albums since their single "Honestly" back in 2006.  They are coming out with their 4th studio album Collider on March 26th.

How have they managed to come out with all this music and nobody has cared? They aren't bad at all, maybe I have been too engrossed in the world of metal to hear anything with so much pop.

They have three songs "unlocked", as they call it, which are all on three different websites. Weird.

There is: "Mosaic""First Things First", and my favorite, "Uninspired".  Not bad, eh?

If you are digging them then you can pre-order their latest record (don't worry they have bundles with t-shirts!) and see them on tour with New Found Glory (dates and tickets here).

Conditions Lyric Video

The pop-rock quartet, Conditions have released a lyric video for their track "Love Elusive" off their upcoming album Full of War out on March 26th.

The band had fans submit videos of themselves with the lyrics to the song and they got to be in the video. Very cool. I wish that more bands would do something like that.

I really dig this song, it has a very summery sound which is much needed here in the North!

If you simply cannot wait for the 26th you can buy their single "Open Eyes" on iTunes.

P.S. I am currently listening to their new record and it sounds great! I would definitely recommend it!

Drummer Leaves Motionless in White

Angelo Parente, former drummer of Motionless in White has announced that he has left the band as of yesterday March 11th.

In Parente's goodbye statement he explains that the musician life "has finally caught up" with him.

"It has affected me mentally and physically, and it's to the point where the best thing for the rest of the band and myself would be for me to call it quits", he says.

To read his full statement and one from the rest of MIW check it out at that link!

The band in their statement say that they are still on good terms with Parente and only wish the best for his future endeavors.

They also explain that none of their shows or upcoming tour dates will be canceled because of this.

Phoenix "Entertainment" Video

I hope that you are as confused as I was as to why there is this Korean children's ensemble in the opening scene of Phoenix's video for their single "Entertainment".

The video takes place in Korea (you can tell from the characters on the band's promo poster) and it is this story with bad guys and couples in love and a pop star. I am not 100% sure about it but hey, it sure is different! And in the indie scene, different = good.

I love the track and cannot wait until it comes out! The record will be released on April 23rd and pre-orders in the USA are finally available through iTunes.

The only area that does not have access to pre-orders yet are Australia and New Zealand (but they're working on it).

Against Me! Cancel Spring Tour Dates

Photo Cred: Ryan Russel

The Florida rock quartet, Against Me! has canceled their spring tour dates with Bad Religion and Polar Bear Club.

AM!'s reason for getting off the bill is because of drummer issues.

"Canceling a tour is definitely not a decision we would make lightly. At this moment, due to our current uncertainty over who is going to be playing drums with us, we feel like we are lacking the ability to put on the show our fans deserve and we think that the best thing for us to do right now is take some time to regroup and finish a record."

For the full statement check their Facebook (link above) or on Absolute Punk

The other two bands have not made any comments as to whether the tour will still be going on without AM!.

Bring Me the Horizon Release "Sleep Walking" Video

UK's most popular hardcore band, Bring Me the Horizon has released their 2nd video from their soon to be released album Sepiternal.

This track is called "Sleep Walking" which is my 3rd favorite track off the new album (behind
"Shadow Moses" and "Can You Feel My Heart").

To stream the new album click here! The album will be out in the US on April 2nd and to the world on the 1st. Pre-orders are still available!!!!

I swear this will be my last BMTH post for a while!! I promise.
