We Came As Romans "Hope" Video

We Came As Romans has released their new video for their single "Hope".  This track will be on their third album which will be coming out sometime during 2013.

The song is very inspiring, saying that we have are the hope for the future and that we have to make a difference. On their website the band is going for a more positive message in their lyrics and with their lives.

Also the band has come out with a symbol that you can see in the picture above. I am not sure if it is a symbol for the band or it is a symbol of hope. I'm not quite sure, but I do know that people will be getting this tattooed on themselves in no time!

Overall, I love WCAR but this is not my favorite. Hopefully, something better will be revealed later.

Hundreth "Ruin" Single

Hundreth has just released a single "Riot" off of their highly anticipated EP Revolt from Mediaskare Records.

The lyric video for "Riot" is up now and talks about the end of the world.

I have seen Hundreth perform on tour with For Today, Impending Doom, and Sleeping Giant in fall of 2012 and they were quite good. I personally am excited to hear the new stuff that they have been cooking up.

Fit For A King's Single "Warpath"

Fit For a King, hardcore band that signed with Solid State Records in 2012, has released their first single with their new label.

The track is titled "Warpath" which you can listen to at altpress.com.

"Warpath" punches you right in the teeth from the moment you press play. The verses wrestle the listener down to the ground with brutal strength while the chorus is melodic.

Nothing new on the table but still a great song.

Vocalist, Ryan Kirby has some serious talent and I hope that this band takes off once their new record comes out.

Their sophomore album Creation/Destruction will be out on March 12th.

Love and Death Album Stream

One of Tooth and Nail Records newer bands, Love and Death have put up a full-stream of their debut album Between Here and Lost (check it here).

The LP released yesterday but if you are low on cash like myself, a free stream is always a fan pleaser!

Oh, Sleeper "Hush Yael" Video Premiere

These week has just started and two of my favorite bands have released music videos!

Yesterday Underoath released "Sunburnt" and today Oh, Sleeper came out with a video for  "Hush Yael" off of their 2012 album Children of Fire.

I could talk about this band all day, they are dripping with talent, skill, and passion. And all of that is clearly seen in this music video of their live performance in Houston (or Dallas, I forget) in Texas.

Frontman, Micah Kinard is absolutely amazing with his vocals and still manages to go crazy on stage! My favorite part are when he jumps into the crowd and people go mad! After that people are climbing on top of one another, a dude makes it on stage and Micah screams in his face.

You also get to see guitarist and back up vocalist, Shane Blay and drummer Zack Mayfield in their element. They are both killing it!

I love this band so much and I hope that you enjoy this music video as much as I do.

Be prepared for them on the Vans Warped Tour this summer, they will be bringing the heat!

Bring Me the Horizon "Shadow Moses"

English metalcore band Bring Me the Horizon has released a video for their latest single "Shadow Moses". This track will be on their new album Semitermal which will be out on April 29th.

This is the first time I have ever listened to these guys but I was certainly not disappointed.

The video was very interesting though, the entire time the screen twists and turns so if you get dizzy this clip is definitely not for you!

It's hard to explain in words, you just have to see it for yourself.

Underoath Sunburnt Video

And they have done it again!

Underoath has released their final music video for their latest track "Sunburnt" off of their album Anthology 1999-2013. 

This video blew me away with it's incredibly videography. The picture is incredibly clear, there are multiple scenes with water that are amazing, and the boys in it are cute.

The band does not appear in the video but it truly shows their growth over their career. When one looks back on "Reinventing Your Exit" and then looks to now with this video and "In Division" you really see how far they have come.

I love this band and am bummed that I did not get to see them on their farewell tour. But if you got to go and see them, please post below and tell me how amazing it was!!

Allstar Weekend Hiatus

Teen pop sensation, Allstar Weekend are going on hiatus for the time being.
BUT DO NOT FRET!
There is more to this than a band more or less breaking up.

The trio will be doing their final headlining tour and also Vans Warped Tour, which will be their last performances as the band Allstar Weekend.

Members Zach, Cameron, and Michael will still be together as a band but they will be starting a new project with a new name (which has not been decided yet).

In a Facebook post, they said that they were signed to Hollywood Records at 17 and 18 and now are in their early 20s and it is time to create something new.

"Think of it like switching majors at college or your parents making a career change. It doesn't erase the work, the passion or our connection we had with you when we were doing it. It's simply time to move on to something new."

Even though they will no longer be singing "Party like It's Not Your Birthday", fans can look forward to what these three guys have in store for the new year.

Metal band, Bullet for My Valentine have just released a new music video for their single "Riot".

I never really listened to them before but they are not half bad. They take the classic heavy metal sound and make it relevant for today. Because metal is always relevant...

The Sony Music band will be coming out with their latest LP Temper, Temper on February 12th.

For Today Anti-Gay Drama

As of lately there has been crazy drama happening because of the former guitarist of metalcore band For Today, Mike Reynolds.

On January 10th, he made posts on Twitter that "there is no such thing as a gay Christian" and that "homosexuality is a sin".

Fans and music lovers were offended and hurt by what he said so frontman, Mattie Montgomery made a video of apology to everybody.

Along with the post for the video on Facebook, Mattie wrote that Reynolds has left the band and is going to go to Bible college with his wife to become missionaries in the Middle East.

To me that sounds like he wanted to get out of this drama as fast as it started by flat out quitting.

The next day the Rou Reynolds, the frontman for Enter Shikari got wind of the news and was pissed off about the whole thing. He wrote a long blog post on the band's website saying that Mike Reynolds is an "insult to music and spirituality".

Now today Mike Reynolds is finally coming out to clarify what he said and attempt to save his ass.

He reiterates that homosexuality is a sin but not worse than any other sin mentioned in the Bible. He continues to say that with Christianity one cannot continuing living a sinful life and say that they are a Christian. So changing oneself is necessary to be a follower of Christ.

Personally, I think that homosexuality is okay but I understand where Mike is coming from with his perspective.  I am glad that things are getting cleared up but I don't think that it will really effect their fan base or anything like that. Non-Christian bands may not want to play with them anymore but that is probably the only negative effect.

Paramore Teaser

Fulled By Ramen trio, Paramore have released a teaser for their anticipated single "Now".

The teaser is 58 seconds long of footage of the band shot with a low quality camera phone. There is basketball, clapping, and a cute doggie.

The track is expected to be out on January 22nd while their new album will be out on April 9th.

The Almost Release New Track

The Almost has not put out a full length release since Monster, Monster in 2009. The Tooth and Nail Records rockers have finally put out a new track and are currently on tour.

Their song is called "Ghost" which will appear on their upcoming album Fear Inside Our Bones which will come out on April 16th.

The song sounds like The Almost with a more bluesy and southern sound. I am not in love with it after the first couple listens but it is certainly a good song.

They are currently on tour through January with supporting acts All Get Out and Makeshift Prodigy (dates and tix here).

Frontman, Aaron Gillespie will be on To Write Love on Her Arms' Heavy and Light Tour for select dates with Fiction Family.

The Almost is back and they are ready to show their fans what they have been working on.

Ian Watkins Accused of Child Pornography

Ian Watkins, lead vocalist for Lostprophets, appeared in court at the end of December for child rape and child pornography.

Check out my previous post about this for the back story!

The court in Cardiff is charging him with 6 accounts of sex abuse, says The Guardian. They are: plotting to rape a child under 13 years of age and two other children and four accounts of making, downloading, and distributing child pornography.

The next court hearing will be on March 11th and Watkins will remain in custody of the court.
