Citizen "Roam the Room"

Citizen has released a free stream and download of their track "Roam the Room" off their upcoming album Youth.

Stream and download <--- right there.

The song is alright, but I like their other stuff a bit better. Hopefully Youth will come out great as a whole.

Youth will be out on June 11th and pre-orders are still up for grabs through Run For Cover Records.

New Politics Acoustic "Harlem"

New Politics are one of the best things to hit the United States since Doctor Who and the bagget.  This Copenhagen band is making serious strides to fame and from this video I can tell why.

NP did an acoustic version of their single "Harlem" from their sophomore album A Bad Girl in Harlem.  Check the video here and be prepared to have your mind blown!

The trio will be on the sold-out Fall Out Boy tour this summer, so if you have tickets, I'm jealous.

Trust me, you won't be disappointed!

Allison Weiss "Making It Up" Video

I'll be honest, I don't like female singers. But I really like up and coming singer, Allison Weiss!

She had released a video for her single "Making It Up" off her album Say What You Mean via No Sleep Records.

This single is certainly one of the bests off the record but the video really tops it off.

Instead of it being about a boy or girl breaking up with her, it's her dog. It's a super fun idea!

My only complaint is that when she lays down on this bed (view photo above) she looks like this guy I work with. Which is odd.

Check the video here from Alternative Press and also check here to see her on tour this summer.

Relient K "Lost Boy"

Relient K has released another new track off their upcoming LP Collapsable Lung.

The song is called "Lost Boy" which is about being lost before finding someone. The video to go along with the lyrics is fun with a little boy and a dog running around.

On Alternative Press, frontman Matthew Thiessen talks about the writing of the album and how it is something totally different from what they're done before. Check it here!

The album is currently up for pre-order on iTunes for $7.99 which comes with a bonus track called "That's My Jam" featuring Owl City.

SWS "Best There Ever Was"

Sleeping With Sirens has released their third track from Feel called "Best There Ever Was" featuring Fronz.

I don't know who he is.

This song is has more screams than the other songs. So far I like "Low" then best, then this one, and lastly, "Alone" (it's that rapper that ruins it).

The album comes out on June 4th and pre-sale is still going strong!

Never Shout Never "Good Times"

Never Shout Never is streaming their latest track "Good Times" which will be on their new album Sunflower. The album is planned to be released sometime in July.

Click here to check out the new song and also to sign up for a "lesson" from the band while their out on  Vans Warped Tour this summer.  It costs $40 to sign up.

I don't know what NSN is going to teach kids, hopefully it's something worth while!

Sleeping With Sirens "Alone"

Sleeping With Sirens has released their second latest song off their upcoming album Feel.

The track is called "Alone" and features rapper, MGK.

I like the song overall but MGK kind of ruins it. I feel like a lot of rockers are trying to incorporate hip hop and rap into their music like Fall Out Boy for example.

Feel  comes out June 4th and you can pre-order it right now (only in the US, UK, and Australia).

ALSO, the band is doing a Golden Ticket Contest similar to Willy Wonka.  They are putting three tickets in three random albums and whoever gets them will win a bunch of prizes. Check the link for a video made by Kellin and his mates for more details!

Relient K LP out July 2nd

The incredibly popular and well-loved band, Relient K will be releasing a new album this year!

The group has not come out with their original work since their last album Forget and Not Slow Down in 2009.

I was not aware that they had released a single from the album back in April (I must have been doing homework that month) called "Don't Blink".

Probably not in reference to Doctor Who.

The album Collapsible Lung will be out on July 2nd.

The Almost "I'm Down"

The Almost have released a second single off their upcoming album, Fear Inside Our Bones.

It's called "I'm Down" and it is one of the rawest songs the band has put out.  The lyrics are very true and overall sound is upbeat yet it's not a happy song.

Frontman, Aaron Gillespie's voice has only improved over the years.  I fell in love with his vocals when he was in Underoath but this band has really helped him improve as a singer.

Pre-orders and bundles will be up until the release of the album on June 11th. Even if you don't plan on pre-ordering, you have to check out their t-shirt design! It's so sick!

They will be touring with Conditions and Relient K throughout the summer.

Vocal Few "One Day Soon" Single

Vocal Few is the side project of The Classic Crime frontman, Matt MacDonald and his wife.

They are releasing their second EP titled Tall Trees which can be bought directly through their bandcamp account.

Today they came out with the a lyric video for the song, "One Day Soon" about Matt and their newly born daughter.

It's a very sweet song! I really like it.

New August Burns Red Single

August Burns Red has released a single from their upcoming album Rescue & Restore with Solid State Records.

I read a thing from Alternative Press that quoted guitarist, JB Brubaker saying that they were ready to branch out from being strictly metalcore.

Well sir, I believe that this song is still metalcore.

Nothing on ABR, they are really nice guys and are really talented. But I still feel like this song sounds exactly the same as all of their other stuff. If they'r branching out, this shows me that it's not that much.

R&R is currently up for pre-order and will be out in stores and online on June 25th.

The Wonder Years Stream New Album

The Wonder Years are streaming their new album Greatest Generation on YouTube.

Check out this link for the video series that comes with lyrics and black and white film.

A friend of mine checked it out last night and was blown away with its quality so I'm excited to get to check it out as well. I'm a fan of the Upsides so hopefully this is surpass that.

The album officially comes out on the 14th and you can pre-order it through Amazon.

Plain White T's Lyric Video "Should've Gone to Bed"

Plain White Ts are back (I've missed Tom Higgenson's nose) with a new EP and a lyric video for their single "Should've Gone to Bed".

The video is a compilation of selfies, people passed out drunk, and that silly man above with meme-esq font for the lyrics. Some of the photos were funny but I can't handle selfies!

The song was pretty good. It tells the story about how he is getting over this girl but only misses her when he goes out to drink.  While he's out he obviously gets drunk, calls her, and says stuff that he doesn't mean.  I think this is a relatable topic more some people (not me but whatever).

Check out the band's EP Should've Gone to Be available at iTunes for under $5. Not bad.

Pierce the Veil "Bulls in the Bronx" Video

Teenage girl favorites, Pierce the Veil have released their music video for "Bulls in the Bronx" today.

The anticipated video tells the story of two teenagers who like each other and the boy sneaks into the girl's room trying to avoid the dad. The dad eventually walks in on them and is chased out of the house.

I really like this video! Probably my favorite that PTV has put out so far. The song is really good as well. These guys have become one of my favorites over the past year for Vic's interesting vocals and their general raw sound.

The band is finishing up their American leg of their Spring Fever Tour with Mayday Parade and You Me at Six.  They will be starting their European tour at the end of May, tickets and dates here!

Also I want to apologize for not posting in forever. I have been incredibly busy with the end of the semester doing projects, papers, and everything in between. This is finals week so I will be free as a bird in no time to post more music news!
