Bring Me the Horizon Stream "Sepiternal"

Bring Me the Horizon have moved up the release of their third album Sepiternal to April 1st (UK/Europe) and 2nd (USA).

The band has created a full-stream of the album on YouTube which will be available for a limited time.

When I heard about this I was overcome with joy! This is one of the albums that I am most excited for this year. The lyrics are great and musically it is pretty good.

You can still do pre-orders! So get your bundles while they're still available.

Anberlin "Unstable" Video

Anberlin has released a video for their song "Unstable" off their latest album Vital.

According to drummer, Nate Young, "Originally we were going to make a video for 'Someone, Anyone'.  As time went on we decided that it wasn't the song to make a piece of art to. As we started to make the video, all roads led to "Unstable". Something clicked, it felt right on every level."

The video is interesting and it looks great!

Anberlin will be touring with Paper Route and All Get Out throughout the spring months. For dates and tickets check it out here!

Ace Augustine "Mannequins" Video

What used to be one of my favorite bands before the original drummer and frontman left, Ace Augustine has come out with their first video with the new line up.

The Red Cord Records band was just released their first single and video from their upcoming album The Sick and Suffering. This will come out on March 19th.

The song is fine but nothing compared with their first record The Absolute.

Video wise, I can't watch it because it makes me dizzy.  The camera is all over the place and everything is going in and out of focus every 2 seconds.  If you enjoy vertigo, watch this video!

I Am Empire Discuss New Album

After not releasing anything new music since 2011, I Am Empire is coming out with their sophomore album on March 26th with Tooth and Nail Records.

The rockers worked for the majority of 2012 writing and recording the record. Now they are ready to put it out to their fans and will be on tour all year.

Check out their super interview with frontman Austin Lyons and guitarist Andrew Stanton.

These guys were one of my favorite bands when I was in high school and I almost got to see them at a festival.  Sadly, they had van troubles and couldn't make the venue. Teenage dreams crushed.

If you've never heard them before listen to their album Kings, I recommend the tracks "Brain Damage" and "Saints and Sinners".

Pre-orders are currently available here.

The Almost Nervous Energies Acoustic Songs

The Almost's frontman and solo artist Aaron Gillespie did his first acoustic session with Ryan Russel's label Nervous Energies.

NE is a "record label and web based video series with bands performing acoustic/alternative versions of their songs", according to their Facebook.

Gillespie has three tracks on the site: "I'm Down""Hand Grenade", and a cover of Underoath's hit song "Some Will Seek Forgiveness, Others Escape".

The songs sound great! He has an incredible voice for sure.

My only critique is the videography, I feel like his jacket is more in focus than his face.

NE has other videos with Bayside, The Rocket Summer, and Jon Foreman (Switchfoot) which you can see them all at their YouTube channel.

Keep your eyes out for The Almost's new album Fear Inside Our Bones which will be coming out earlier than expected, April 9th.  Check out their latest track "Ghost"!

Trapped Under Ice Hiatus

Hardcore band Trapped Under Ice has announced that after this summer's tour they will be going on a "lengthy hiatus".  They emphasize that they are not breaking up, this is just a break.

The band says, "We just decided that it was important to keep the band fresh. We don't wanna spin the wheels for nothing and just write music because we feel like we have to. We don't really feel right about just putting out another record for the sake of touring right now."

For their full statement check it out here!

This sounds like a pretty legitimate reason to take a break and I seriously hope the best for TUI.

In their statement they have a list of their final shows, for tickets in California, England, and Ireland check out their events page.

Bring Me the Horizon has released their second track off their upcoming third album Sempiternal, titled "Antivist". You can also check out their first track "Shadow Moses" here!

I think that this song is great! But I do like "Shadow Moses" much better.

I am really looking forward to their new record which will be coming out April 29th. You can pre-order the album and there are multiple bundles for fans to choose from.

Phoenix Single "Entertainment"

Above is the artwork for Phoenix's single "Entertainment".

I am incredibly excited for their album Bankrupt! which will be available on April 22nd. For a special message from the band about the album, check out their website.

You can pre-order their album on iTunes, but this will sadly not open in the U.S. iTunes.  For now, there is no way for Americans to pre-order this album as of today.

Check back to my blog for more Phoenix related updates!

Blink 182 Touring Australia without Travis Barker

Blink 182 will be touring in Australia without drummer, Travis Barker. To take his place will be Brooks Wackerman of Bad Religion.

Barker is going to remain in the States during their tour because of his extreme fear of flying.

The band states that they understand Barker's fear but also did not want to leave their Australian fans out to dry by canceling the dates.  Check out the band's full statement at Absolute Punk.

Most of the shows are sold out but there are still some available tickets left for a few dates.

Johnny Craig teams up with Indiegogo

Johnny Craig is asking for money again, but hopefully instead of scamming kids he will actually use this money to create an EP.

The former frontman for Dance Gavin Dance has gone through a ton of drama with drugs, rehab, and getting kicked out and rejoining his band multiple times during 2011-2012.

In his video where he talks about his new project, he says that he really wants to make it up to his fans and do something for the ones who have been backing him up through everything.

Personally, I don't trust this guy.  After his MacBook scandal and continued broken relationship with DGD and Rise Records, I'm uncertain about giving money to him.

You can make your own call on Johnny, if you are a fan of his check out his Indiegogo campaign to contribute to his EP project.

Fall Out Boy Album Out in April

Fall Out Boy IS BACK!!! Excited? You should be.

Their anticipated album Save Rock and Roll was supposed to come out on May 6th but they finished early so they are going to release it on 16th of April instead!

Their track "My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark (Light Em Up)" really surprised me musically but I enjoyed the video and the message that they are trying to portray.

The song does not sound much like their previous albums From Under the Cork Tree and Take This to Your Grave which I think many fans expected.

But after watching the video it all makes sense since they are burning their old records, this shows that the band is not what we remember from middle school but are trying new things.

The quartet recently performed their single on Jimmy Kimmel in skeleton suites.

Pretty sweet.

For pre-order and your choice of 4 different bundles check out their GoMerch page.

The band will also be on tour this spring but if you haven't already gotten your tickets, you are at quite a loss because the entire tour is sold out. But you can still get tickets for Skate and Surf Festival and other dates in Japan and the UK.

Sweatshirt Weather "Sleepy Eyes" Video

Photo Cred: Rachel Gulotta

This Chicago quartet, Sweatshirt Weather have come out with a new EP and a video for their track "Sleepy Eyes".

Translations EP is a compilation of new songs that they wrote but also a few acoustic versions of tracks from their 2011 EP Getting By ("Be Someone" and "Midwestern Love").

These guys sound like Allstar Weekend or Relient K with their pop rock style and youthful lyrics.

I am surprised that teenage girls do not have their posters plastered on their walls yet! This EP will hopefully get them recognized in the scene and grow in popularity.

Electronic hardcore band I See Stars has come out with a live video for their song "NZT48". The footage was taken from the California Metalfest back in November.

Underoath's Final Set LIVE

Photo Cred: BMooreVisuals

Underoath has played their final show, they are done and over. Yes, this is an incredibly sad thing if you're in the same boat as me and didn't get to see them play on their farewell tour.

DO NOT FRET! There is a video of their final performance in full out right now!

Though Underoath may be over some of these guys are still going to be involved in the music world.

Frontman, Spencer Chamberlain says that he has been working on songs and such but has not gone into much detail.

Guitarist, Tim McTague had already been working with two other guys (Nathan Young and Reed Murray) to form the band, Carrollhood. They will be releasing an album on the 11th of this month.

So Underoath may be over but we can all still relish in their glory with old records, new projects, and this live video.

The Ghost Inside "Get What You Give" Video

The Ghost Inside has just released a video for their song "Get What You Give", the title track from their 2012 album with Epitaph Records. They recorded it all while they were on the AP Tour this past fall.

The video was really jumpy and made me dizzy. Every scene is about 2 seconds long and it feels like you have vertigo or something!

Probably the best parts of the video are of the crowd where kids are climbing on top of each other and screaming the lyrics back at the frontman.

I would give this video a slow score especially compared with the latest videos done by Bring Me the HorizonOh, Sleeper, and Underoath.

Frightened Rabbit "Today's Cross" Video

The Scottish quintet, Frightened Rabbit just released their latest record Pedestrian Verse with Atlantic Records.

The band created a video for  their single "Today's Cross" featuring a Jesus-esq main character.

According to Paste Magazine, "The video shows a day in the life of a modern day messianic figure fighting off (pardon the pun) excruciating boredom as he attempts to finish writing The New New Testament before his publisher's due date."

I do not think the band is attempting to make a religious statement, they just had a silly idea and ran with it! And it turned out to be a pretty entertaining video.

To purchase their album in LP, CD, or digital check out their website

FR will also be on tour in the UK and the USA throughout late winter into spring, dates and tickets are available now.
